Hi Andreas

The last message on this ITP is from 2008; you seem to have the package
ready, but it does not appear in the archive. Have you lost interest in
this package?

~Niels

Hi Niels,

I uploaded the package to mentors.debian.net, but there was no sponsor
willing to upload due to the code being PHP. I forwarded the concerns
upstream.

Best regards,

Andreas

retitle 492325 RFP: phpmyid -- standalone, single user, OpenID identity provider
noowner 492325
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of phpmyid back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting phpmyid, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 492325 ITP: phpmyid -- standalone, single user, OpenID identity provider
 owner 492325 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <492325@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

The phpmyid package is ready since 2008 and is available at:

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/phpmyid

It is in the process of searching for a sponsor. No need to switch this
back to RFP.

It looks like phpmyid has been abandoned by the upstream at
http://siege.org/phpmyid.php "This page is maintained for posterity.
phpMyID is no longer developed or maintained."

That doesn't sound too good! Is the Debian maintainer going to step up
to doing the upstream work too?

I've packaged SimpleID

It is comparable to phpmyid (in other words, it installs easily with apache and php, no other major dependencies like databases, but you can use a database or LDAP if you want)

Testing and feedback wiuld be very welcome as this package is new to Debian
