The library tries to load libpython2.5.so, which is not available. From .xsession-errors:

"Nautilus-Python-WARNING **: g_module_open libpython failed: libpython2.5.so: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei nicht öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden"

Translation: "Cannot open shared object file : File or directory not found"

Workaround/Fix: - load libpython2.5.so.1
                - forward this report to the python maintainer ;-) in order to provide an additional link to libpython2.5.so

Thank you very much for providing this library!

Best regards, Alexander.

Hi Alexander,

This is fixed in the experimental package by loading libpython2.5.so.1. As the
changelog entry says, that's an ugly workaround, but it's probably better than
depending on python-dev and bringing a lot of dependencies.

I've backported this patch to the unstable branch.

Cheers,
Emilio

Thanks a million! Then this bug can be closed as far as I am concerned.
