Subject: kmail: Missing dependency on libsasl2-modules
Date: Fri, 27 Jun 2008 14:57:37 +0200
Package: kmail
Version: 4:4.0.82+svn819867-1
Severity: important

Kmail cannot use sasl auth in a standard KDE 4 installation, as there is no
dependency on libsasl2-modules, which provides the authentication mechanisms

If the library is not present you will get an error from the mailserver saying
that there was "no worthy mech found".

In KDE 3.5 Kmail installed libsasl2-modules because of its dependency to
kdebase-kio-plugins which had a dependency on libsasl2-modules.

"apt-cache rdepends libsasl2-modules" does not reveal any KDE4 packages beeing
dependant on this library.
