I intend to orphan the tla package. The reason is I'm in process of
stopping using it in favour of a more robust and capable GIT. Arch is
a stable and a significant improvement over CVS and similar, but GIT
seems a similarly significant step forward.

If someone is still using tla and needs it functional, please adopt
this package.

The package description is:
Arch is a modern replacement for CVS, specifically designed for the
distributed development. It supports development on branches,
 distributed repositories, changeset-oriented project management,
and of course, file and directory renaming.

Subject: TLA Fixes
Date: Mon, 29 Nov 2010 11:58:57 -0500
I have uploaded a tiny little fix for tla to Debian Mentors to fix an
annoying warning message from 'tar' that pops up constantly due to the
--preserve option being deprecated. I still use tla on a daily basis and
would like to see it maintained, so if I manage to get this change out
and can wrap my head around the more complex changes required to fix
many of the other open bugs, then I may take over the package.

Subject: Still interested in maintaining the tla package in Debian?
Date: Fri, 12 Aug 2011 19:21:26 +0200
Hi,

some time ago I sponsored a bug fix for tla you prepared for Debian. I
noticed there is now a new RC bug failed against the package[1], so I
was wondering if you are still interested in taking over maintainership
for the package?

Regards,
Ansgar

Subject: tla in bad shape

TLA currently seems to be in bad shape currently:

 - it embeds ancient libneon 0.24.7 and does not
work with newer ones (#395877, #402952).
 - lintian warns it needs a relibtoolizsation

I guess fixing those might be non-trivial amount of
work, so if no maintainer shows up, it might make
sense to remove it before wheezy releases.
