* Package name    : zkt
  Version         : 0.94
  Upstream Author : Holger Zuleger <holger.zuleger@hznet.de>
* URL             : http://www.hznet.de/dns/zkt/
* License         : GPLv2
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : A tool to manage keys and signatures for DNSSEC-zones

The Zone Key Tool consists of two commands:

    * dnssec-zkt to create and list dnssec zone keys and
    * dnssec-signer to sign a zone and manage the lifetime of the zone signing keys

Both commands are simple wrapper commands around the dnssec-keygen(8) and dnssec-signzone(8) commands provided by bind9.3/bind9.4.
They are designed to solve some problems in maintaining a few dnssec aware zones.

retitle 481898 ITP: zkt -- A tool to manage keys and signatures for DNSSEC-zones
thank you

I spoke to Patrik Wallström at IETF 72 and he asked me to help with
ZKT packaging.
So I am taking this bug as mine.

Holger, I'll need to look at ZKT yet, but you can probably expect
bunch of patches
to help with packaging (like autoconfize, etc.)...

Contact me privately if you want to discuss it in more detail (like what you are
working on now, etc.)

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of zkt back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting zkt, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 481898 ITP: zkt -- A tool to manage keys and signatures for DNSSEC-zones
 owner 481898 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <481898@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the package "zkt":

* Package name    : zkt
  Version         : 1.1.2d
  Upstream Author : Holger Zuleger <holger.zuleger@hznet.de>
* URL             : http://www.hznet.de/dns/zkt/
* License         : BSD-3-clause
  Section         : net

It builds these binary packages:
   zkt - DNSSEC Zone Key Tool

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:
 http://mentors.debian.net/package/zkt

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
 dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/z/zkt/zkt_1.1.2c.dsc

The source of this all, changelogs etc, can be found here:
 https://github.com/massar/zkt/

There is an old ITP bug report here:
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=481898

But the intent was never fulfilled, thus, hereby, a fully working package ;)

Looking forward to comments/questions etc.

Regards,
 Jeroen Massar

Hi Jeroen,

somehow I never got your package.

I would gladly sponsor your package, but the one on mentors is wrongly
packaged. Same for git repo.

You need to split the package into upstream sources and debian patch.

O.
