policyd-weight in the default configuration in stable uses
dynablock.njabl.org which is non-functional. This is fixed
in the version in testing, but I would suggest to fix it
in stable, too (or volatile, perhaps?)
The error indicator in the syslog is somewhat annyoing
(especially since "ERR" matches one of logcheck's "violation"
criterias). Also it is an unneccessary DNS lookup that could
be saved.
Feel free to close this bug if you think this doesn't need to
be fixed in stable and people that are annoyed by it should
create a config file instead.
Gruesse,
Frank Lichtenheld

Hi,
I wouldn't fix this in etch. As the reporter already said: it can be easily
fixed through the configuration file; administrators using blacklists should
be used to updating a configuration file once in a while because it's a fact
of life that blacklists come and go.
If it would produce actual adverse affects other than a log message, it may be
worth it, but now I don't see the need to go throug the trouble and risk of a
stable update.

sorry for the late response. As Frank pointed out himself, it could be easily
resolved by creating a appropriate config file. For the latest package in
testing (and lenny) I did leave a note in README.Debian about blocking lists.
I tag the bug as wontfix and leave it open for documentation purpose as long
there is support for etch.
With kind regards, Jan.

Hi there,

just fix the issue (and maybe have a look
into /usr/share/doc/policyd-weight/README.Debian) with:
$ policyd-weight defaults|head -47|tail -10|grep -v "list.dsbl.org"|
grep -v "dynablock.njabl.org" > /etc/policyd-weight.conf
&& /etc/init.d/policyd-weight restart
With kind regards, Jan.

Seems like this bug was fixed in 0.1.14 beta-3 according to the upstreamV
changelog. Not quite sure which debian release this corresponds to, but the
above should suffice.

etch support is long gone - closing this bug.
