It needs libxext-dev to build correctly.

In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:

  * Merge from debian unstable. (LP: #188691) remaining changes:
    - debian/control:
      + Add libxext-dev to build dependencies.
      + Update maintainer field
