The X server exits with a 'no screens found' error unless 'DefaultDepth
24' is specified in the X server configuration file. This should
probably be noted in the package's README.Debian file, because the
current version of the xserver-xorg package does not include any
DefaultDepth statements in its generated configuration file.

This has become much more serious with version 8.45.4-1 of fglrx. The X
server now locks up my system unless 'DefaultDepth 24' is present in
xorg.conf.
