For my own GtkVD project (http://launchpad.net/gtkvd) I wrote a new html
parser in Python to get the data from the new website. It produces very
much the same output as gnuvd did before. The source code is hosted a
Launchpad (https://code.launchpad.net/~rulus/gtkvd/VanDale.py) and could
be useful when patching gnuvd.

This bug has also been reported at the Ubuntu bugtracker:

Yes, but the gnovd component is broken in 1.0.5, I have told upstream,
I'm waiting for a fix for that.
