It's confirmed that the Amazon search problems are due to problems
with Ruby/Amazon 0.9.0, please upgrade to 0.9.2 (available from
http://www.caliban.org/ruby/ruby-amazon.shtml) as a ruby source
package, or an RPM.

I have made a deb file available at
http://alexandria.rubyforge.org/dependencies/ruby-amazon/
also including the files needed to rebuild the deb from source.
Hopefully we can get the Debian and Ubuntu maintainers to upgrade
to the new version of ruby-amazon.
