Hi,

ffcall failed during my test on kfreebsd-amd64, but the same applies also
for official amd64 architecture, see

http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=ffcall;ver=1.10%2B2.41-3;arch=amd64;stamp=1164148337

Hmm... Strangely, I just successfully built it on pergolesi (Dual
Opteron 240), with no errors. (pergolesi is running etch)

Scratch that. Apparently, pergolesi runs 32-bit libraries by default.
In the 64-bit chroot, it gives the same error.

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #22436 (project libffcall):

The machine I tried it on has its kernel version listed as "2.6.22.17+splice"
and is a Dual Opteron 240. I don't know what the kernel version is for the
Debian build daemons listed in Debian bug #451356. They were both using
ffcall taken from clisp 2.41. I can try cvs head if you think that there are
any relevant changes.

Subject: also fails on arm
Date: Fri, 4 Apr 2008 16:40:27 +0100
Hi
  I get the same symptom building ffcall 1.10+2.41-3 on arm:

creating minitests
./minitests > minitests.out
/bin/sh: line 1: 13860 Segmentation fault      ./minitests >minitests.out
make[2]: *** [check] Error 139
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/martin/arm/arma/ffcall-1.10+2.41/ffcall/avcall
'
make[1]: *** [check] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/martin/arm/arma/ffcall-1.10+2.41/ffcall'
make: [build-stamp] Error 2 (ignored)

The error is ignored by the build script; "make check" fails the same way.
avcall/minitests is saying:

...
void* f(void*,double*,char*,Int*):(0x14270,0x141f8,0xbee0,0x14324)->0x141f9
void* f(void*,double*,char*,Int*):(0x14270,0x141f8,0xbee0,0x14324)->0x141f9
Int f(Int,Int,Int):({1},{2},{3})->{6}
Int f(Int,Int,Int):({1},{2},{3})->{6}
J f(J,int,J):({47,11},2,{73,55})->{120,68}
J f(J,int,J):({11,2},73,{55,35324})Segmentation fault
