Package: elfsh
Version: 0.65rc1-1.1
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa@lists.debian.org
Usertags: proposed-orphan
Hi,
While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a package that
should maybe be orphaned by its maintainer, because:
* 4 RC bugs with no recent activity
If you think that it should be removed from Debian instead of being
orphaned, please reply to this bug and tell so.
If you agree that it should be orphaned, sending the following commands
to control@bugs.debian.org should do it (after replacing nnnnnn with
this bug's number):
severity nnnnnn normal
reassign nnnnnn wnpp
retitle nnnnnn O: <packagename> -- <short package description>
thanks
For more information, see
http://www.debian.org/doc/developers-reference/ch-pkgs.en.html#s-archive-manip
http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/
If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please
close this bug, preferably in an upload also fixing the other issues.
Thank you,

Please don't orphan this package as I am now packaging Eresi which will
replace elfsh.
Thanks.

Hi Andrés,
Have you made some progress on this ITP? I'm a bit concerned about the
fact that elfsh is completely broken, while the work on packaging eresi
seems to have been ongoing for several months. Do you have an idea of
when the eresi package will be available? Will it be in time for lenny?
Thank you,

I was wondering, why elfsh should not be orphaned (or even removed) before
eresi is packaged?
If you really don't want any action to be performed on elfsh, could you then
please provide some information about your erasi ITP?

Message #46 received at 449356-close@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:
elfsh | 0.51b3-2.1 | alpha, amd64, hppa, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc
elfsh | 0.65rc1-1.1 | source, i386
libelfsh0 | 0.51b3-2.1 | alpha, amd64, hppa, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc
libelfsh0 | 0.65rc1-1.1 | i386
libelfsh0-dev | 0.51b3-2.1 | alpha, amd64, hppa, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc
libelfsh0-dev | 0.65rc1-1.1 | i386
Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.
Packages are never removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems.
Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.
Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 449356@bugs.debian.org.
This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is
a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing
