  dvd95 is a GNOME application to convert DVD9 to DVD5 (4.7GB).

  * DVD95 supports two copy modes:
  - Without menus, one video title set, multiple audio tracks and subtitles.

Please notify the Debian security team so they can add dvd95, vamps,
dvdauthor to their list of packages with duplicated code.

Does 'one video title set' mean that I can't convert extras only the
main movie? I look for a complete DVD9 to DVD5 solution.
Please note me if you have preliminary packages available.

Thanks,
Laszlo/GCS

Or please patch it so that the code isn't duplicated for such bogus
goals.

I'm not sure right now. Preliminary packages will be coming soon, but
dvd95 is already available in Ubuntu if you'd like to have a look at it
in the meantime.

Upstream needs to be asked why they make the app faster. It's not
like this is 1982 and it's loading overlays off of floppy disk.

Viva shared objects!!!

Yeah, it's not ideal at all. I'll see about making it properly depend
on the right packages instead of using forked versions, but it may not
be feasible initially.

hey all,

I was wondering if there is any progress on this package? (Or is it
denied because of duplicate code?)

retitle 444368 RFP: dvd95 -- DVD9 to DVD5 converter
noowner 444368
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of dvd95 back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

If you are still interested in adopting dvd95, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 444368 ITP: dvd95 -- DVD9 to DVD5 converter
 owner 444368 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <444368@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

It still seems to lack a 2nd person to back up the package in the team.
