Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: libgnutls13
Version: 1.6.3-1
Severity: important
I just apt-get upgraded and in the process installed libgnutls13
1.7.18-2. Afterwards I had to find out that mutt doesn't work anymore.
It simply isn't able to get the tls handshaking going, i.e. it doesn't
even ask for the username anymore.
Downgrading libgnutls13 fixes the problem immediately.
I'm not sure about the severity since this breaks an unrelated package
albeit only for some users.

I have the same problem here. Rebuilding mutt doesn't have any effect,
so it seems it isn't some kind of API/ABI change in libgnutls.

Same here, but handshaking from kmail to dovecot works quit good;)

The breakage happened in the 1.7.16 to 1.7.17 step.

And this means what? It neither seems to be a solution nor an
explanation. Please keep in mind:
# [2007-08-25] Accepted 1.7.18-2 in unstable (low) (Andreas Metzler)
# [2007-08-18] Accepted 1.7.18-1 in experimental (low) (Andreas Metzler)
# [2007-08-11] Accepted 1.7.16-1 in experimental (low) (Andreas Metzler)

# [2007-06-23] Accepted 1.7.12-1 in experimental (low) (Andreas Metzler)
# [2007-06-05] gnutls13 1.6.3-1 MIGRATED to testing (Britney)

# [2007-05-27] Accepted 1.6.3-1 in unstable (low) (Andreas Metzler)
Or in other words, neither 1.7.16, nor 1.7.17 have been in sid. 1.7.17
doesn't seem to have been uploaded at all.

This means that I am keeping the bts uptodate with the information as
find it to save duplicate work in case that somebody else is looking
into the bug, too.
