Package: gdb
Version: 6.4.90.dfsg-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
On the AMD64 release of Debian-testing (running on an Intel E6600
platform), gdb refuses all binaries:
folkert@belle:~/Personal/src/multitail/devel$ cat test.c
int main(int arg, char *argv[])
{
return 0;
}
folkert@belle:~/Personal/src/multitail/devel$ gcc test.c
folkert@belle:~/Personal/src/multitail/devel$ ./a.out
folkert@belle:~/Personal/src/multitail/devel$ gdb ./a.out

Binutils added an incompatible format change. That version of
binutils made it to testing before the GDB update; try grabbing GDB
from unstable.

My system is a Lenny one and there the new package is not there. So I
