Package: gnumach
Version: 2:1.3.99.dfsg.cvs20070405-1
Severity:
X does not start on gnumach (Version: 2:1.3.99.dfsg.cvs20070405-1),
though X starts on gnumach (Version: 2:1.3.99.dfsg.cvs20070306-1) on the
same condition.
It is guessed that it is a bug perhaps related to the device.

Erf, yes: Thomas Schwinge dropped the iopl device, which X.org uses for
getting I/O permissions. It's just a matter of reverting commit of
2007-04-02 until gnumach has i386_io_perm_create/modify implemented and
Xorg uses them through ioperm().

Livin' of the bleedin' edge... Sorry. I didn't know X.org was using
`iopl'.

That's to happen very soon. :-)

It's not correct to say ``merged upstream'' here, as that's not what was
actually done, but this is -- functionality-wise -- not important, of
course.

Thank you. Some day I'll get to finish implementing my ``proper''
solution. But this one will do for the users until then.
