Currently, the Lohit font family supports 11 Indian languages: Assamese,
Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi,
Tamil, Telugu, and are available as TrueType fonts. Currently the
ttf-indic-fonts package in Debian doesnot have Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya
and Telugu font of Lohit family. This needs to be updated into the
ttf-indic-fonts of Debian.

ttf-indic fonts is a metapackage depending on ttf-<lang>-fonts.

I think it will be better to have separate bugs opened against
respective ttf-<lang>-fonts package.

I'll be looking into the Lohit font family, and hopefully I'll have an
updated package uploaded into Unstable by the weekend

However as Mahesh pointed out in his mail, it would perhaps be better if
wishlist bugs were filed against all the packages for which there are no
Lohit fonts included
