Currently we do not build
texlive-lang-arab
since we have/had arabtex.
But I propose that we take over arabtex in the sense that we create
texlive-lang-arab. The respecive tpm file contains:
arabtex.tpm
arabi.tpm
which would mean that we would get added value, too, namely a new Arabic
system:
----------------
Arabi System
Version 1.1
(c) Youssef Jabri
An author maintained LPPL system to write in Arabic and Farsi.
Fully compatible with BABEL and can use commercial fonts
(as well as free ones :)
----------------
Comments?
Best wishes

CHIPPING ONGAR (n.)
The disgust and embarrassment (or 'ongar') felt by an observer in the
presence of a person festooned with kirbies (q.v.) when they don't
know them well enough to tell them to wipe them off, invariably this
'ongar' is accompanied by an involuntary staccato twitching of the leg
(or 'chipping')

Hi all,
can we ask for the removal of arabtex since it has been incorporated
into texlive-lang-arab and the package is orphaned?
Clint, will you do that as the original maintainer?
Best wishes

PITSLIGO (n.)
Part of traditional mating rite. During the first hot day of spring,
all the men in the tube start giving up their seats to ladies and
staphanging. The purpose of pitsligo is for them to demonstrate their
manhood by displaying the wet patches under their arms.

I'd rather not; I haven't done any examination of texlive-lang-arab
myself and I'm not likely to find the time. If any of you are confident
that all functionality is properly replaced, please go ahead and request
the removal.
