On my laptop, I use gstm and dynamic port forwarding to create secure channels on untrusted wifi networks.

I roam between networks a lot, and I love how easy NetworkManager makes that. But gstm takes a long time to detect that its SSH
tunnels died, and doesn't automatically restart them.

For that reason, I created a "restart all active connections" option in the menu that you get when you right-click the icon in the GNOME
panel. I have a patch for this at http://paulproteus.acm.jhu.edu/bug-report/2007-01-29/gstm-restart-active-connections.patch .

I hereby license the original work at that URL under the GNU General Public License version 2.0 or later, at your option. I would really
love it if this patch hit upstream, but even if not, it should definitely go into the Debian package; I'm sure lots of other network-roaming
Debian users would really appreciate it!
