After uncomment 'listen on *' option in ntpd.conf, openntpd display
'dispatch_imsg in main: pipe closed' error message when I try restart
the deamon.
I found in internet the solution to the problem, changing 'listen on *' to 'listen on 0.0.0.0'
This behaviour don't happend with the testing package.

Regards,
Esteban

I experienced this bug in Etch (openntpd 3.9p1-3).
The problem happened only during the first (after reboot) start
of openntpd, next starts work without problems.

Hi Erik!

I'm afraid I can't reproduce this. Can you provide some step-by-step of
how to get this error on a system > Sarge ?

I experience this problem intermittently with Lenny during reboots. Sometimes ntpd crashes; sometimes not. Manually starting up always works. Perhaps there is a race condition during startup? Maybe raising it from S20 would help.

Here are the other things loading in runlevel 2:

Forgot to mention in previous bug report that this *is* happening in 3.9p1-7 . Also, I have not set ntpd to listen at all -- ntpd.conf is untouched.
