Subject: zinf: Fails to start with X error

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: zinf
Version: 2.2.5-5.2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Every time I start zinf, it shows the filetype association dialog, and
then quits. If I start it from the console, I see the following error:

patrakov@home:~$ zinf

(<unknown>:2295): Gdk-WARNING **: Attempt to draw a drawable with depth
24 to a drawable with depth 32

(<unknown>:2295): Gdk-WARNING **: Attempt to draw a drawable with depth

(<unknown>:2295): Gdk-WARNING **: Attempt to draw a drawable with depth

(<unknown>:2295): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_set_back_pixmap: assertion
`pixmap == NULL || gdk_drawable_get_depth (window) ==
gdk_drawable_get_depth (pixmap)' failed
The program '<unknown>' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
 (Details: serial 1202 error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0)
 (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

xorg.conf is attached.

This bug is related to the composite extension
shown in the xorg.conf..

Bug should probably moved over there.

Subject: zinf has been removed from Debian, closing #397032
Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2008 17:56:48 -0400
Version: 2.2.5-5.2+rm

The zinf package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/423359 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
Barry deFreese
