Hi,

It would be quite neat to see fvwm support Xrandr: when the screen gets
resized, windows on desktops should be kept within the screen dimension.
For instance, if I shrink the screen with an 2x1 desktop, I want windows
running on the right side of the left desktop to be kept there, and not
go to the right desktop. And of course, I want the windows running on
the right side of the right desktop to be kept there, and not be out of
reach just because they are far too on the right.

Samuel

Subject: Yes, Fvwm does not support Xrandr
Date: Fri, 10 Jul 2009 03:55:13 -0500
Hi,

As you know, there is no support for Xrandr in Fvwm. It is on
the cards. But very low priority. However, this is not the place to
express such a wishlist: you are better off going to
fvwm-workers@fvwm.org, since this is something that needs to be
implemented upstream; and leaving it open in Debian serves little
purpose -- no work is going to be put towards it.

I have mentioned thisissue to upstream developers, and they are
aware of it -- feel free to follow up to the mailing list above. But I
am closing these reports in the Debian BTS.

        Thanks,

        manoj
