Hi,

When trying to install the etch beta 3 (20060810) i386 netinst image, I
can't seem to access my cdrom.

During boot I see the following errors:

If I boot with the default options, I can't mount a CD,
to get the rest of the installer.  Note that booting the CD
and reading the initrd worked without problems.

If I then reboot and add the irqpoll option, things seem to
be working properly.

I've attached the full syslog of the installer started with irqpoll,
and also added the hw-report output.

I wasn't able to save the log without irqpoll since I can't mount
my usb memory stick yet since the filesystem modules are still on the
CD.  If you need that, please let me know, and I'll find some way to
get them.

I don't have direct access to that system anymore.  I know it's running
an amd64 kernel now, probably newer than 2.6.18 since I think I had
other problems with that.

thanks for quick feedback, assuming working etch+half kernel.
