I decided not to adopt the whole package, but to ITP [1] the command line
validator, which seems to be the part not provided by another debian
package.  Probably I shouldn't own this bug anymore?

The wdg-html-validator package has been orphaned for a long time, and nobody has
been willing to take it over.
I am therefore requesting its removal from Debian.

If you still need the package, or want to reintroduce it in Debian, the
latest version ever found in Debian is available from

Dear ikiwiki maintainers,

wdg-html-validator is orphaned since 2006. Could you consider switching
ikiwiki to w3c-markup-validator, which is properly maintained in Debian?
