Subject: No SELinux policy for exim
Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2006 19:06:14 +0200
Package: exim
Severity: normal

There is no SELinux policy for exim available so far.
Until this is resolved, users should use postfix or sendmail if they
intend to run SELinux.

Please don't reassign this bug to the SELinux policies. We use usertags
to keep track of open SELinux issues. This bug was filed for users to
see that they can't use exim with SELinux currently.

You've filed this bug against the exim 3 packages, which have been
deprecated for a long time.

Would it be better filed against "exim4", given that that will be etch's
default MTA?

Adam

I would be willing to accept patches from the user base, as long as
they are documented, and the submitter commits herself to supporting
the SELinux part of the Debian exim4 packages. I currently do not have
not enough SELinux knowledge to test and support that stuff myself.

Greetings
Marc

The latest reference policy seems to include a SELinux module for exim:
http://marc.info/?l=selinux&m=119765898413497&w=2

Haven't tested it yet but I wanted to make sure it was noted in the bug
reports.
