Nice successful install---*except* I wanted my root filesystem on a
logical volume striped across two physical drives. I managed this by
getting into a shell at the end of the install, building a suitable
logical volume, and copying the root FS at the time. Then I had to
edit /etc/fstab and /boot/grub/menu.lst. In all, I'd have been
happier if the installer had offered me striping as an option.
(In general I found partman a bit confusing.)
Otherwise, it was the greatest install ever! (And I've done a lot.)
(One other suggestion: installation found 2 ethernet devices and I
didn't know which one to use. Probing for link sense on both would
have been pleasant.)

Parted currently supports DOS, Mac, Sun, BSD, GPT, MIPS and

disk) type which allows use on RAID/LVM. Filesystems which
are currently fully supported are ext2, ext3, fat (FAT16
and FAT32), ReiserFS (with libreiserfs) and linux-swap.
Parted can also detect and remove HFS (Mac OS), JFS, NTFS,
UFS (Sun and HP), XFS and ASFS/AFFS/APFS (Amiga) filesystems,
but cannot create, resize or check these filesystems yet.

Note that ReiserFS support is only enabled if you install
