php-net-smtp recommends php-auth-sasl which is not available in Debian. This
is a serious policy violation. Section 2.2.1 states that every package in main
"must not require a package outside of main for compilation or execution".

Thank you very much for this work - when I wanted to apply it to our 
repository I found some other pending changes including a new upstream 
version. I've now uploaded this new version and incorporated your change into 
it. Your package will probably be rejected as an effect of this..
