2.4.27 is dead, let's get rid of it. We can always reintroduce it later for
nubus if it is needed.

Sven Luther

thanks
I'm upgrading this report back to serious, since the package is
RC-buggy, and removing it is the preferred way to avoid distributing
this RC bug. If you disagree with the severity, please explain.

Message #40 received at 362319@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Hi!
Well, this package is available only on unstable now. It was removed
from testing because it was failing to build.
http://packages.qa.debian.org/k/kernel-patch-powerpc-2.4.27/news/20060608T210817Z.html
If it's not in testing, it won't be included on the next version of
Debian (when it is released).
People who use unstable know that some packages can break their system
or some packages are not ready yet or there are unusable packages,
etc.
Because all this, I think that the severity can be set to normal.
Just my opinion.
Best regards,
Nelson

Message #45 received at 362319-close@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:
kernel-build-2.4.27-apus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-build-2.4.27-nubus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-headers-2.4.27-apus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-headers-2.4.27-nubus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-image-2.4.27-apus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-image-2.4.27-nubus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-patch-2.4.27-apus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-patch-2.4.27-nubus | 2.4.27-11 | powerpc
kernel-patch-powerpc-2.4.27 | 2.4.27-11 | source
Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.
Packages are never removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems.
Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.
Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 362319@bugs.debian.org.
This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is
a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing
