Description: nonblocking 8-bit-clean pipe buffer
bfr's purpose is to buffer data. It buffers from its standard input
and/or a list of files of your choosing, and allows this data to flow
to its standard output at whatever rate that end can handle. It's
useful for any situation in which its beneficial to have I/O occur in
a detached yet smooth fashion.
Also contained is bfp, a buffering /dev/dsp writer. Pipe your raw PCM
data to it, for skip-free bliss.

Do you still intend to adopt bfr? (This is just a ping, I'm not
interested in adopting it myself.)
Thanks,
Matej

Mark, are you still interested in maintaining bfr for Debian? I answered
this RFA but then noticed you already had a .deb of 1.6 on your web
page. It still is not uploaded to the archive, however. If it is a case
of losing your key, I can sponsor an upload if you wish.

Hi there!
I am currently working on finishing the /usr/doc transition at the
moment and I intend to *lovingly* NMU bfr.
My NMU also fixes:
- #217530 bfr: Build-Depends on libc6-dev, c-compiler
- #277227: package description typo(s) and the like
- #369807: Typo: "its an unexpected" --> "it's an unexpected"
I will be shortly providing a NMU-diff. Until then, my patch and work
can be found at: http://www.amayita.com/debian/3_NMU/bfr/
The 0-day NMU season is open, so expect an inmediate upload.

Thanks! I was planning on NMUing 1.6 if I didn't hear from Mark. I'll
just go ahead and use this packaging to do so, unless you'd rather adopt
it (I think I'll leave it orphaned and handle any other bugs that come
up, at least for a while, in case he comes back).

I am afraid I am not interested in adopting it, I am just working to end
this transition.
I uploaded a version that fixes the issues I outlined, so please feel
free to keep working on bfr, adopt it. adn orphaned it because it is not
very likely that Mark comes back in a while (as a MIA template was using
when orphaning bfr).
Your work in Debian is appreciated.

I've been waiting to see if Mark says anything, since he is also upstream. If
I need to NMU again, I may just change the Maintainer: field, but for now I'm
checking for any new bug reports myself.

Hello,
This is an automatic mail sent to retitle the ITA you have reported or
are involved with.
Your ITA wnpp bug is being orphaned because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 250 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.
As this is an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be managing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be orphaned, for
example if the ITA is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please retitle the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily recover
their bugs ;-).
To retitle it, you simply have to mail <control@bugs.debian.org>
with a body text like this:
retitle 360672 ITA: bfr -- nonblocking 8-bit-clean pipe buffer
owner 360672 !
stop
Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
360672@bugs.debian.org would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <damog@debian.org>.
A similar process is being applied to other kind of wnpp bugs.
Thanks for your cooperation,
