Package: gallery2
Version: 2.1-1
Severity: important
I upgraded from 2.0.4-1. The web-based upgrade appeared to work just
fine.
Visiting /gallery2/ I can login, visit an album but then thumbnails are
not found and links go to /gallery/ instead of /gallery2/ and are not
found! If I can select an album, but I don't get thumbnails, but I do get
everything else. But click on a sub album and it takes me to a
/gallery/ link that does note exist. If I manually change /gallery/ to
/gallery2/ in the URL text entry of the browser (epiphany), it works for
that page, except for the thumbnails, but further links to /gallery/
fail?
I have two aliases defined in apache.conf:
Alias /gallery /usr/share/gallery2
Alias /gallery2 /usr/share/gallery2
Previous upgrades have all worked just fine.
My mysql backup compared to current mysqldump has quite a few structural
changes, eg:
*** gallery2_060325.sql Sat Mar 25 19:12:50 2006
--- gallery2_060326.sql Sun Mar 26 07:52:14 2006
***************
*** 25,26 ****
- `g_userId` int(11) default NULL,
- `g_groupId` int(11) default NULL,
--- 24 ----
***************
*** 28 ****
! UNIQUE KEY `g_accessListId` (`g_accessListId`,`g_userId`,`g_groupId`),
--- 26,27 ----
! `g_userOrGroupId` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
! PRIMARY KEY (`g_accessListId`,`g_userOrGroupId`),
***************
etc., but perhaps due to the 2.0 to 2.1 version diff (I don't see such
significant changes from the 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 dumps).
Basically, my Gallery is kaput.
Regards,
Graham

I'm sorry for your troubles with the gallery2 package. I'm not sure why
you're getting mixed /gallery and /gallery2 links, although that sounds
like a configuration issue (perhaps with the rewrite module). My
suggestion would be to post your issue in the Gallery 2 Troubleshooting
and Problems forum at http://gallery.menalto.com/forum/62

Package: gallery2
Version: 2.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #359013
I finally managed to get to the gallery2 site admin page by replacing
gallery/ with gallery2/ in the URL several times. Then I was able to go
to the URL Rewrite module configuation and reactivate the Migration
option. My Gallery is now fully functional again.
It seems that the upgrade killed this option setting.

Graham
