Package: evolution Version: 2.4.2.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #358071 I have the exact same bug here, although it seems that libglib2 is the main problem. Workaround: downgrading install for following packages . libc6 2.3.6-3 . libc6-dev 2.3.6-3 . libglib2.0-0 2.8.6-1 . libglib2.0-data 2.8.6-1 . libglib2.0-dev 2.8.6-1 . libpango1.0-0 1.10.4-1 . libpango1.0-common 1.10.4-1 . libpango1.0-dev 1.10.4-1 Downgrading libc6 2.3.6-4 alone does not fix anything. Downgrading libglib2.0 2.10.1-2 alone breaks libpango 1.12.0-2 which is to be downgraded as well. It was stuck in the buildd due to some missing build-dependencies. 2.4.2.1-2 is on its way into the archive right now, and will hopefully be built quickly and correctly for powerpc as well. Package: evolution Version: 2.4.2.1-2 Followup-For: Bug #358071 Hello, my evolution still freezes like the others described, even after upgrading to 2.4.2.1-2 :-( Before, I got "double free or corruption (out)", with the new package I get "invalid pointer".
