Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
ivi (0.4.pre.20031121-3) unstable; urgency=low
* Orphaning this package; reasons:
- Too many bugs and limitations in C++/Tcl version
- No luck getting new Eclipse-based version working
- Not enough motivation; I rarely use this myself

The package description is:
From <http://ivi.sourceforge.net/>:
.
IVI is a graphical front-end for various simulators. IVI allows the user
to control simulation and view signal waveforms as the data is produced
by the simulation.
.
IVI stresses an interactive approach to design testing and debugging
* Signal waveforms may be examined during simulation
* Signals may be added to the waveform at any point during simulation
* Multiple wave-data files may be open at a time
* The simulation may be restarted after the design is recompiled,
preserving traced signals and waveform-window configuration
* Simulation operations can be automated using the TCL scripting
language
.
In Debian, ivi currently supports:
.
* GHDL VHDL (Debian package: ghdl)
* Icarus Verilog (Debian package: verilog)
* Cver Verilog (Debian package not yet available)

Hi,
you are not the only one, who "rarely" uses this package.
I'm very interested in this package too. Unfortunately
the package is a little bit out of date.
I'm using the current version since a while and would
appreciate to see it in Debian too. (The same is true for GPL CVer).
So... please don't give up your work. Can you provide your tries
with the Version 1.0.x ? Maybe we can help You with that.
Bye,
Toby
