Hi,

I tried sonic-snap with my tiny, cheap webcam and it segfaulted.

Attached is a patch which fixes my problem.

Oh man, I'm getting old. I downloaded and installed the deb from
  http://www.stolk.org/sonic-snap/
then noticed the bug, fixed the bug, and then ran "reportbug sonic-snap",
which - of course - generated a bogus bug (closing now).

I'll email the patch to the author and/or ITP the package, I guess.
