Package: w3m
Version: 0.5.1-3
Severity: wishlist
Could you please add "-o document_charset=%{charset}" to the w3m
mailcap entry? It forces w3m to use the charset that is extracted
from the content-type mail headers.

Message #10 received at 282784@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
If there is a mismatch between the MUA locale (e.g. UTF-8) and the
HTML charset (e.g. Latin-1) of an email message, then non-ASCII
characters will not be displayed correctly.
Please change the following line:
text/html; /usr/bin/w3m -dump -T text/html '%s'; copiousoutput;
description=HTML Text; nametemplate=%s.html
... into this:
text/html; /usr/bin/w3m -I %{charset} -dump -T text/html '%s';
copiousoutput; description=HTML Text; nametemplate=%s.html
Thank you!
Christian
