If I use an itemfactory to create a menu, and give the menu
accelerators (like "<shift>n" or "space" in the itemfactoryentry array)
then these accelerators are shown on the menu (as "Shift+N" or
"space"). However they are not translated! In the above examples
"Shift" and "space" should be translated ('N' should remain as 'N', of
course). It seems like only the GTK library can do this translation:
translating it before passing the itemfactoryentry to GTK would not
help matters.

Is this a bug in GTK? Is there something different I can do to get
these menu accelerators translated?

I know itemfactory is deprecated but this bug (if it is a bug) should
still be fixed.

Hi,

Does this bug still happen with GTK+ version 2.8.20-5 (or later) on an
up to date Etch system?
