Message #10 received at 281433@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
This is going to take a little bit of work to sort out.
libdlm is currently only built 64bit on Sparc because of the kernel interface,
but I can't move lvm over to 64bit because of dependancies, so I need a 32bit
libdlm.
Fortunately, I am the upstream developer for libdlm (and I have a sparc) so I've
written a 32->64bit compatibility layer and need to co-operate with the libdlm
maintainer to sort out the packages.

Message #15 received at 281433@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
The latest 2.0.29 now build OK on SPARC, but only because clvmd is no longer
built for that platform (or any other 32/64 bit machines).
When there is a 32bit libdlm available for 64bit kernels then I will reinstate
clvm for them.
In the meantime I think the thing to do is make this a wishlist bug and reassign
it to libdlm.
