Package: w3m
Version: 0.5.1-3
There is a mixup in the helpfile /usr/share/w3m/w3mhelp.html line 25 should be:
<TR><TD>J<TD>Roll down one line
and line 26 should be:
<TR><TD>K<TD>Roll up one line
and /usr/share/doc/w3m/MANUAL.html line 174 should be:
<TR><TD>J<TD>Roll down one line
and line 175 should be:
<TR><TD>K<TD>Roll up one line
maybe some other changes would be necessary too, but I haven't inspected the source so I can only guess.
to reproduce the bug just press ins on numerical keypad to get the menu and press h to get in the help, then read the lines K and J
I am using Debian GNU/Linux unstable, kernel 2.6.8-1-686
and libc6 2.3.2.ds1-17

Probably, this is intentional.
Quoting from <http://yougo.ascii.jp/caltar/%E3%83%AD%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB%E3%82%A2%E3%83%83%E3%83%97> in Japanese:
| ロールアップ
| 出典: ASCII.jpデジタル用語辞典
|
| ろーるあっぷ 【ロールアップ】 roll-up
|
| 画面表示が1行分ずつ上にスクロールすること。対して、1行分ずつ下にスク
| ロールすることをロールダウンという。
I don't know the word "roll up" is a correct English or not.
Though I prefer "Scroll down" instead of "Roll up"...
Could you please forward this bug to the upstream?
Thanks,

Upstream says that it is a different viewpoint,
and it is late in the day to change manual now.
So, I am afraid to tag wontfix.
