When building 'readline5' as root, I get the following error:

dh_builddeb -i
dpkg-deb: control directory has bad permissions 2755 (must be >=0755 and <=0775)
dpkg-deb: building package `libreadline-common' in `../libreadline-common_5.0-1_all.deb'.
dh_builddeb: command returned error code 512
make: *** [binary-indep] Error 1

As root I get

# apt-get source readline5
# ls -l | grep readline5
drwxr-sr-x 7 1000 staff 4096 Oct 3 15:48 readline5-5.0

Please fix the permissions in the *orig.tar.gz tarball.
