Subject: waproamd: Needs ifrename support since its hotplug script is called before net.agent

Package: waproamd
Version: 0.6-4
Severity: normal

I have /etc/iftab set up to rename the ath0 device to wlan0 so that the
same code in other places will work no matter what the real name of the
interface... I think that the waproamd (and ifplugd) hotplug scripts
should support ifrename after the fashion of net.agent.

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Here's a working (debugged and tested) set of scripts for 'waproamd'.
The identical changes work for 'ifplugd' as well, of course.

[waproamd.hotplug (application/x-shellscript, inline)]

Hotplug should run ifrename before calling waproamd or ifplugd.

Subject: waproamd has been removed from Debian, closing #267007
Date: Sat, 27 Dec 2008 10:15:24 GMT
Version: 0.6-9+rm

The waproamd package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/509389 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
