* Package name    : glom
  Version : 0.8.6
Upstream Author : Murray Cumming <murrayc@murrayc.com>
* URL             : http://www.glom.org/
* License         : GPL
Description : A database designer and user interface

Glom is a GUI that allows you to design table definitions and the
relationships between them. It also allows you to edit and search the
data in those tables, and to specify field values in terms of other
fields.

The design is loosely based upon FileMaker Pro, with the added advantage
of separation between interface and data. It attempts to provide a
simple generic framework sufficient to implement most database
applications. These systems normally consists of lots of repetitive,
unmaintainable code.

Hello everybody,

I packaged glom for the Ubuntu distribution. It went through the MOTU
review process and is in the archive now.

You may want to have a look at
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/glom/
and we could co-maintain it in both, Ubuntu and Debian.

Have a nice day,
 Daniel

Hi Bart,

I have asked Bradley Bell (package maintainer of libbakery) to create
a new bakery-debian package. He promised me 7 weeks ago to create such
a bakery as soon as possible, but I have not heard anything from him
so far... I don't know what's going on there, I've written him another
mail last month, but he did not respond.
I have been a bit busy the last weeks, but next week I'll get my
semester vacations, so I hope that I will find time in the next 2-3
weeks to take care for my debian-packages than and maybe build an own
libbakery-package or do whatever is nessesary to "force" glom into
Debian :-).

greetings from Bremen/Germany,

Andreas Bresser

Hi mates

First of all I wish you all a happy new year.
The needed library should be in debian and I would like to ask you for the
current status and I would like to suggest that you both work together in
order to get the package into debian. As Daniel seems to be really active I
would also suggest him to go ahead and get the package into Debian, I hope
you do not worry Kai, otherwise I am sure that you would be a good packaging
team. Some usefull information can be found here[0] to get the package into
debian, but I guess Daniel is pretty much aware of it as an experienced
developer.

Cheers
Steffen

Please note that I'm not a Debian developer, I'm not in the Debian
keyring and won't be likely to have the time or the means to maintain
this in Debian too.

Apart from that, I'm perfectly to work together with you, forward bugs
with you to upstream and discuss problems that might come up.

To get this into Debian, you might want to contact the utnubu team [1].

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Hi Daniel

I request this in the name of the utnubu team :)
It makes it easier if the people who are maintaining it in Ubuntu directly do
it in debian (sponsors can be found in various places, including
debian-mentors@l.d.o. or the utnubu-discuss list).
Of course if you do not have the time to do that here I can understand it.
Thanks for your feedback.

Cheers

I don't run Debian on a day-to-day basis and wouldn't like Debian users
to think that I'd take care of the package they use.

But as I said, I'm still perfectly happy to work together with somebody
on the Debian end to make sure everything's alright.

Hi,

I am packaging glom based on Ubuntu package. I have to get libgdamm sorted
first, but I have contacted maintainer of libgdamm1.3 to see if he is going

I am using git to keep record of my packages, so I can publish my repo to
get the package co-maintained by people interested in git.debian.org

Thanks

Hi,

Hi people:

Thanks to Jose Carlos Garcia Sogo's effort, libgdamm3.0 has entered
Debian, and the stable version 3.0.0 has been uploaded to sid. It's
time to package glom for Debian, finally. As glom is GNOME module,
it'll be reasonable to host the Debian packaging in Debian GNOME SVN.
Jose, please continue your work on GNOME SVN so we can track it and
work to gather. And hope more people will help working on it.

Regards,
Deng Xiyue

Hello everyone,

Glom 1.8.4 is currently awaiting sponsorship into Ubuntu for Jaunty.
Christophe Sauthier (huats) did the heavy lifting for the bakery2.6
update. I believe he's going to bring this back to Debian soon. There's
another new dependency, goocanvasmm, which I packaged for Ubuntu and am
now in contact with pkg-gnome with about getting into Debian. I'd then
like to try and get my glom package sponsored in the pkg-gnome team.

I'll take "ownership" of this if nobody minds? Or if anyone has a strong
affinity then they're free to use and improve the latest Ubuntu packaging.

Iain

Hey,

With regards to required dependencies for Glom 1.12.3:

* goocanvasmm - 0.13 is in Debian, requires 0.14.
* libgdamm - requires 4.0, not in Debian. I compiled 3.99.17.

You need to have postgresql-8.4 installed to compile and working binary.

Other than those gotchas, I have glom compiled and running on Sid.

Regards,

Hi,

sorry, but I currently work on my diploma thesis, so I do not have the
time to create a package. Besides that, I completely moved to Ubuntu
about a year ago, and I do not have a spare machine for a Debian
installation.

OK, we will wait when you have time to do it.
Regarding the spare machine, is possible use Debian virtualized over
Ubuntu (VMWare, or something similar).

retitle 258096 RFP: glom -- A database designer and user interface
noowner 258096
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of glom back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting glom, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 258096 ITP: glom -- A database designer and user interface
 owner 258096 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <258096@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

I would love to see a debian package of this software. It seems that the
author of glom is still chipping away at it valiantly upstream. He/She
seems to be quite loyal to this project, which makes you want to support it!

Chapel Of Destiny.

Po box 533 The. Gambia

*Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. *

Hear ye" the voice of the LORD saying; whatsoever that is going contrary in
your life today shall be well with you again, because His Word declares
that all things works together for Good to them that love HIM. See Romans
8: 28.

you are destined to make it in life: and you shall surely achieve all your
desired goals, hence-forth all your agonies will be diverted: a turnaround
for victory and restoration is about taking place in your life; it has been
divinely acknowledged by Heavenly witnesses; Struggle no more.

There shall be no more loneliness, sorrows and pains: because HE that sits
on the Throne JEHOVAH THE KING OF GLORY has remembered you. He will take
away the hardship, sickness, pains, loneliness, and give you JOY; He will
never let you down.

The right time of your expectation is about taking place, your season is
made, you shall soon ascend to that top, position yourself for it' because
it's the doing of the LORD. The battle is not yours. See 2Chronicles 20:
17.

Do not give up, do not accept defeat, and do not settle at that level you
are because greater is ahead, its neither late nor over for you to achieve
desired expectations, hope is not lost, afflictions shall not rise the
second time in your life.

A divine second chance has come your way: therefore mention only two things
which you want The LORD to accomplish in your life: it does not matter
where you belong or church you attend; take this opportunity and you shall
glorify GOD.

Should you have any confidential questions or needs for urgent attention or
fact finding services in any area of your life; just feel free; the gift
of prophesy remains among HIS sufficient gift upon the life of HIS anointed
servant to direct your path.

CHAPEL OF DESTINY shall meet your needs through Christ Jesus, remember
there is no distance in the spiritual realm' as well the spiritual things
determines the physical manifestation.

Present your case now and you shall experience a divine intervention:
Whatsoever you desire and ask so shall you receive Mark 11: 24.

God bless you

Evangelist Divine.

Dear Partner

It is a fact that we have not met before neither have we had any
previous business dealings, but I strongly believe that with
understanding and trust we can have a successful business
relationship. I am a principal staff with Oil & Gas Company{BG GROUP}
in United Kingdom.

I have access to very vital information that can be used to transfer
funds out of the project account to a secured account outside United
Kingdom .I have the required machineries to get it done since I am
still in active service. If it was possible for me to do it alone I
would not have bothered soliciting for foreign support, ultimately I
need an honest foreigner to play an important role in the completion
of this business deal.

I look forward to meeting you in person and doing good business with
you and please treat as confidential .

I wait your letter of intent to partner with me

Sincerely

Malcom Brown
