Have you ever tried to use everyone of those 35 standard fonts of
PostScript? At least using Avant Garde ain't nothing but the real pain
in the ass:

Well, try to change some object, that has text. Choose that "other fonts".
It opens familiar font choosing dialog of Gtk2/Gnome2. And Avant Garde is
not there. If document has formerly used Avant Garde (or "avantgarde"),
Dia complains it cannot find avantgarde. Here is my Dia-file I am tryig
to edit:

http://iki.fi/juhtolv/configs/shellrc/

It is inside that tarball, of course.

You'd better run Dia from some terminal emulator to see its error
messages it sends to stderr.

OK. I can reproduce it with the attached file, e.g. with the "Time"
label. First I'll ask upstream how to cope with this.

Hi,

closing this very old bug since it won't get fixed and it applies only
to very old dia diagrams with an old version of Dia containing a
non-standard PostScript font, see upstream explanation of Lars.
