Every time i start mlgui, the columns in the [Download] tab are
restored to some unusable default size, and i have to readjust them by
hand. Not even the "autosize columns on first click onto column
titles"-feature of the old gui (and some tables in the new gui) works,
which is rather unnerving.

I reply for all the bug, in one mail...

I am ok, with your point of view, it is not 100% well.

What i can propose to you, is to forward the bug to upstream, it is my
only option...

If you can provide me with a patch ( but i know it is hard ). I should
apply it.

To explain you the situation : the GUI is in a transient state, it is
waiting for the input of another project : cameleon. This other project,
which i work on, will enable gtk2 support... and help create a more
beautiful/stable GUI ( not in functionality, but actually, the GUI
should be recreate for GTK2, ie i am not sure, the actual GUI will have
a long life ). It is only my personnal point of view.

To give you more hint the mldonkey team is mainly focusing on the
server. So the change you are asking should take time to appears.

I will send a patch for this soon (implemented in the future GTK2 GUI). Lets say save the column sizes of the lists on GUI exit. When opening the GUI restore the previous sizes.
