Package: blender
Version: 2.30-1
Severity: wishlist
Nothing serious, but how about a blender-doc package of CVS snapshot docs or something?
It would really help, given how complex blender is, and that the docs publicly
available on the site seem to be so far behind the application that they are plainly
unhelpful if not a hindrance :)

Hello Lee,
which documentation do you find far behind, and which do you find
better?
Online documentation section:
<http://www.blender.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=documentation&file=index>
The Blender 2.3 guide is fairly recent, altho a bit behind on the most
recent developments.
Wouter

I think, that getting blender documentation, from
http://www.blender.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=documentation&file=index
packaged into blender-doc package would be very helpful. Especially for
people that do not have fast internet connection, or do not have the
connection at all. They would just install blender-doc, and use the
documentation offline.
This package could be automatically updated with current belnder docs
from that site.

Well, I won't be able to speak about this one, since the link is now
dead. One could think of getting the mediawiki documentation packaged,
but according to [1], its license is OpenDocument, which is listed in
[2] as DFSG-incompatible, so I fear that getting it packaged, at least
in main...

And getting back to the original bug report, there's nothing “missing”
in the package AFAICT, closing it.
