Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
* Package name : kernel-image-2.4.22-xfs
Version : 2.4.22-3-1
Upstream Author : Linus Torvalds <Linus.Torvalds@cs.Helsinki.FI> et al.
* License : GPL
Description : Linux kernel image for version 2.4.22 w/ XFS support
This package is essentially a clone of the existing
kernel-image-2.4.22-i386 package, with the XFS kernel patch from SGI
applied. The primary aim of this package is the creation of kernel
images for an XFS-enabled debian-installer variant for sarge; additional
kernel image packages may be made available in accordance with popular
demand and the limitations of my development environment.
Given the amount of code touched by the XFS patch, I think it would be
inappropriate to include it in our main kernel images prior to upstream
integration, but there is definitely demand for an XFS-enabled
installer; hence this ITP.

Please build-depend on the kernel-tree and kernel-patch-xfs packages
instead of including the patch yourself. kernel-patch-xfs might need
some porting towards make-kpkg though.
