Severity: normal

I orphan this package because I don't use it anymore.
All the bugs are closed but I think a re-packaging will be a good idea.

Hi, I like this package and I'm working in order to fix its minor bugs
left, waiting for a new upstream version.
I would like to adopt it. With this I CC the old maintainer too,
because he could be the right person to ask for a sponsorship.

Cheers.

Luca, are you still interested in this? If so, could you:

  * retitle the bug to an ITA as described at
    http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp;
  * ask debian-mentors for sponsorship if Igor hasn't answered?

Thanks,

I was busy but I replied to Colin that I was still interested and
Ihave already sent my work on fwanalog to Jaakko Niemi <liiwi@debian.org>
for testing and get sponsored.
I answered and I'd like to keep working on this package for debian.
Anyway I don't want my work to be wasted, I'll give you my patches if you care.

 fwanalog - firewall log-file report generator (using analog)
Closes: 187027 192265 207971 223980 223981 227260
Changes:
 fwanalog (0.6.3-3) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * Package adopted. (Closes: #187027)
   * Removed relative paths. The upstream version assumes that config files
     are located in the same directory of the script itself; changed with
     /etc/fwanalog, /usr/share/fwanalog.
   * Avoid compressing mklangfile.de.sh, in order to allow correct
     configuration of the package if the user chooses German language.
     (Closes: #223981,#223980)
   * Check about $inputfiles added in fwanalog.sh, so that the script doesn't
     hang anymore if there are no input files available.
   * Changed postrm in order to remove correctly /etc/fwanalog (on purge) and
     /usr/share/fwanalog.
   * Changed path of the analog language file in debian/config.
   * Updated Brazilian Portuguese debconf template translation.
     Thanks to Andre Luis Lopes <andrelop@debian.org>. (Closes: #207971)
   * Added Japanese debconf template translation, kindly provided by
     Hideki Yamane <henrich@samba.gr.jp>. (Closes: #227260)
   * Added Italian debconf template translation.
   * Some debconf questions removed, adding defaults working on the 99%
     of the Debian systems.
   * Some configuration explainations added to README.Debian and
     configuration examples added. (Closes: #192265)
   * Long and short descriptions modified: s/iptables/firewall/ since the
     script is not only for iptables and list of other supported logfile
     formats added.
   * ipchains added to the list of suggested packages.
   * Manpage updated.
   * Updated Standards-Version.
