Package: w3m
Version: 0.3.2.2+0.4rc1-1
Severity: normal
The e key does not seem to do anything in w3m, though the menu says it
should edit source. I can pick that off the menu and it works, but not
the key binding, which does nothing.

My confusion is that the menu, here:

Uses a set of sometimes the same, but often different keybindings, while the
menu is up, to quickly jump to items on it. This is contrary to standard GUI
design, which says that if the menu shows a keybinding, it should be the same
keybinding that works when the menu is down. This allows users to learn
shortcuts through using the menu. The current menu is w3m only serves to
confuse with its inconsistency: Is "b" the key to back up? No, it's "B" when
the menu is not showing. "e" the key to edit? Only when the menu is showing.
"s" the key to select the buffer? Yes, whether the menu is displayed or not.
