Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
The old maintainer of btoa, Nicolás Lichtmaier (nick), is apparently
not active anymore. This package is thus being orphaned now. If you
want to be the new maintainer, please take it -- retitle this bug from
'O:' to 'ITA:', fix the outstanding bugs and upload a new version with
your name in the Maintainer: field and a
* New maintainer (Closes: #thisbug)
in the changelog so this bug is closed.

Description: Convert binary to ascii and vice versa
Btoa converts 4 binary characters to 5 ascii ones, causing a 25%
expansion. Spaces will not be used, which should make it safe
to send files over Usenet without risking that blanks become
tabs.
[ Justification: he has not been seen for months. He was last seen on Debian
lists in Oct 2001; he was on ICQ but isn't anymore. I hope you're well, Nick. ]

Hi.
I currently inspect the Debian wnpp bug list and search for old ITAs
(Intent to Adopt) that are mistitled.
You have expressed in bug report #174346 [0] the intent to adopt
the package "btoa". The last comment to this from you is dated from
4 Feb 2003, which is more than six months ago. Do you still intent to adopt
this package? If not, please retitle the bug, substituting "O:" for "ITA:".

No response for over two weeks, let's retitle this back to O:. In
fact, since this tools looks pretty useless and is non-free, we might
just as well get it removed.
