Hello,
just a note: I guess that fdflush can be replaced by
"floppycontrol --flush". The floppycontrol command
comes with the fdutils package.

Please remove the ipmi-ctl package. It is no longer maintained upstream,
I lost all interest in it and there is a much better implementation
being made as well.
