What is the "SISSL" license?
When posting an ITP for a packages that uses an unusual license (i.e.,
not one of the familiar ones like BSD, MIT/X, GPL, LGPL, or Artistic),
please include the text of the license in your ITP.
Also, if you ever have questions about the DFSG-freeness of a license,
you can always ask the debian-legal mailing list.
Determining these things in advance saves the archive administrators a
little bit of time and effort when processing new packages.

This would have been a good idea, I admit. I had initially planned on

Branden, thanks for pointing this out, and taking the time to look at

Hi Matt,
how are you coming along with gridengine? I tried to tackle it a while
ago, but molding it into the FHS seems kind of hard. Do you have any
preliminary packages available? Do you need some help?
One of Sun's gridengine developers will be at an expo here next week, so
I could talk to him in real life about debian/LSB specific problems in
case there are any.
bye,
Michael

Hello,
I see your ITP for SGE. Is there anything yet ready for testing
available? Reason: We currently use dqs but want to upgrade during our
switch to Debian and we would prefer installing Debian packages to
keep the systems coherent. We soon have some machines ready to play so
if your packages are in a reasonable state to test (and build on
woody, sorry) then we'd be happy to install them and give you some
feedback.
Thanks
Helge

Hi,
what's the status of packaging gridengine -- Distributed Resource
Management? If you've given up please retitle to RFP.
I'm not planing to package myself, but to clean wnpp a bit. If I get no
answer for a month I will retitle myself.
Cheers,
Andi

there something I could use/test? The pages behind the link you provided

Message #56 received at 150124-done@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Hello,
This is an automatic mail sent to close the RFP you have reported or
are involved with.
Your RFP wnpp bug is being closed because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 365 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.
As this is an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be closing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be closed, for
example if the RFP is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please reopen the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily reopen
their bugs ;-).
To re-open it, you simply have to mail control@bugs.debian.org
with a body text like this:
reopen 150124
stop
Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
150124@bugs.debian.org would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <damog@debian.org>.
A similar process is being applied to other kind of wnpp bugs.
Thanks for your cooperation,

Is anyone still working on packaging the Grid Engine?
I'm planning to install it on a new machine during the next weeks and of
course it would be nice to have Debian packages :-)
If noone is working on it, I'll try to package it myself.
If you have some preliminary packages or other information of your own
attempt around somewhere that could be helpful, please let me know.
Andreas
