The DDD source is being built -DIGNORED_YYSTYPE=int to circumvent this
issue. It appears though that IA64, or at least the IA64 build daemon that
attempted the build, is fubar, not DDD. Look at the log directly prior to
the part you quoted:
	g++ -DIGNORED_YYSTYPE=int -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../ddd -I. -I../../ddd/..
	-DNDEBUG -O2 -O2  -W -Wall -trigraphs  -c ../../ddd/VSLRead.C
	g++: unrecognized option `-DIGNORED_YYSTYPE=int'
	g++: unrecognized option `-DHAVE_CONFIG_H'
	g++: unrecognized option `-DNDEBUG'
	In file included from ../../ddd/VSLRead.C:113:

Yep, I tripped over this earlier today and updated the chroot. Something in
the toolchain was fubar. I'm closing this bug and will kick a rebuild of ddd.

Sorry for troubling you.
